The color palette was dark with pops of deep forest green, burgundy and dark mustard thrown in. Louis Vuitton showed the current black/white trend as well as dark shades of brown mixed together. There was one distinct trend in handbags on the Louis Vuitton fall runway; the double handle satchel or Lady Bag. The double handle satchel was in the hands of almost every model during the Louis Vuitton fall show. The Alma, one of Louis Vuittons most iconic and classic handbag styles, was shown on the runway in several different forms from a wide east/west silhouette to small, medium, large and extra large. The fabrications on the Alma were classic Monogram Canvas, Monogram Vernis, Epi leather and two seasonal fabrications; a diamond pattern and a suede version. The large amount of Almas on the fall runway signaled the importance of the top handle satchel or lady Bag trend for fall as well as a return to classic and ladylike silhouettes for the season. In addition to the double top handle tote, Louis Vuitton showed several versions of their daytime clutch on the runway. The clutch featured a dome top, zipper closure and flat bottom and was shown in several fabrications such as classic Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas and Monogram Vernis. The Louis Vuitton handbags were shown in classic, black, burgundy, dark mustard, deep forest green, black/white and brown.

Sports-orientated, the skew was closer to the 16-year-old end of that spectrum, likewise his collaborations with Topman and Umbro. None of them seem very Vuitton, but Jones approach today, mixing the high with the low say, a seemingly simple white plimsoll crafted from a mind boggling mix of python, crocodile and lizard is born from that sportswear background. Years ago I thought it was important to mix everything up, says Jones. Im interested in that idea of personal luxury, where you know what it is, and people that are interested in it know what it is, but it doesnt have to be overstated. Really what Jones collections are doing is charting his explorations not just across the globe (You dont live very long, he adds. And Id really love to see the whole of the world before I go) but through Vuittons world of luxury. In his scruffy navy-blue trews, its a world that seems as alien to Jones as Bhutan. We shoot our advertising around the world, says Jones, smiling and slightly incredulous, and customers say, Oh we booked our holiday to go there because it looked so great! Its nice that you hit those points.

Louis Vuitton Raised Most Non-Leather Handbag Prices, HSBC Says

The trunk maker owned by Paris-based LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA (MC) lifted prices on bags such as the Speedy and NeverFull by about 10 percent in the euro region, Antoine Belge , an HSBC analyst, said today in a note to clients. Vuitton raised prices by at least 10 percent in the U.K. and U.S., and by 5 percent to 10 percent in Asian markets including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, the analyst wrote. The euros strength against some currencies may lead LVMH to charge more, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bernard Arnault said Jan. 31. Vuittons price increase in Japan, the biggest ever by the brand in the country, was taken to offset the impact of the yens slide on sales, the company said Feb. 20.
